According to the multiple listing service statistics as of Dec. 10 provided by the Greater Greenville Association of Realtors, there were 3,628 active listings in the market, which is down 22.5% from the 4,683 active units in the same period last year.
While listings are down, the average and median sales prices are up 6.7% to $382,879 and 3.8% to $269,900, respectively. In addition, listings are selling 15.1% more quickly with the average days on the market dropping from 106 to 90.
The GGAR also reported a 9.2% increase in listings sold to 14,231 from Jan. 1-Nov. 30, 2020, when compared to the same period in 2019, which saw 13,026 units sold.
Greenville County also saw a 10% increase in average sales prices to $280,810 from $255,286, a 7.1% increase in median sales prices to $235,000 this year from $219,500 last year and a 3.8% increase in days on market to 55 from 53 in 2019.
